Muslim-friendly Product Guarantee Policy

At Mybeli, stringent Merchant onboarding processes are in place when being introduce to join as Mybeli’s partner. We ensure that when you make purchases at Mybeli, you can always have a peace of mind and ensure the products you buy will always be 100% Muslim-friendly.

This one-pager is to guide you in understanding about Mybeli’s Muslim-friendly Product Guarantee.

What is Muslim-friendly?

The concept of Muslim-friendly in Mybeli can be defined as:

i. Halal certified by JAKIM (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia)

· Does not stem from or consists of any part of or item from animals that are forbidden to Muslims by Islamic law, or animals that have not been slaughtered according to Islamic law.

· Does not contain any substance that is considered impure in Islamic law.

· Is not prepared, processed, or manufactured using equipment or utensils that are not free from impurities as defined by Islamic law.

ii. If no Halal certificate is obtained by the Merchant, the Merchant have to be a:

· Muslim for Food & Grocery category; or

· Can be both Muslim or non-Muslim for other product categories and abide to the following set of guidelines in the product offering, promotion and advertising in Mybeli:

Food & Grocery

1. Meat based products, poultry, and etc, must be Halal and from a Muslim seller (as applicable)

2. No pork, lard or any pig by products in food preparation

3. No alcoholic substances/ingredients during food preparation

4. No non-Halal gelatine/ kosher gelatine in preparation of food

5. No non-Halal animal fat/ animal shortening in bakery products

Fashion

1. Appropriate image for advertising (sexy/ sexual images and content are prohibited)

2. Product material is not from haram sources (pig skin, pig skin lining, pig hairbrush and etc)

3. No sensitive images or prints in the fabric (Christian Cross/ Hindu Gods, Deity and etc)

4. No offensive or religious sensitive images, wording or prints

Beauty & Wellness

1. Appropriate image for advertising (sexy/ sexual images and content are prohibited)

2. Ingredient must be from halal sources (Not using human placenta or other human sources)

3. Ingredients are not from haram sources

4. Only permanent hair dye is permissible (can be used to perform prayer), temporary permanent hair dye is not permissible

Lifestyle

1. Appropriate image for advertising (sexy/ sexual images and content are prohibited)

2. No sensitive images or prints in the fabric (Christian Cross/ Hindu Gods, Deity and etc)

3. No offensive or religious sensitive images, wording or prints

iii. For products not originating from Malaysia, the products offerings in the platform will have to abide to the recognised foreign halal certification and approved bodies and authorities issued by JAKIM (updated 1 December 2020). You may find out more at http://www.halal.gov.my/.

⚠️ Note

Mybeli Merchant who are found not following the above Muslim-friendly policy are liable to refund the buyers and compensate Mybeli in an amount equivalent to the value of the product (inclusive of shipping fees).

How do I request for a Refund?

In the instance that you received a product from Mybeli platform and you are not convinced that the product is Muslim-friendly, you can request for refund with the simple steps below.

*Note: In the case your claim has been approved, MyBeli will refund to you an amount equivalent to the value of product purchased (inclusive of shipment fees incurred). Refund will be in the format of code voucher with a validity period of one (1) month of usage. You will receive this code voucher within 3 working days from when the decision is communicated via Mybeli registered email address.
